Gaining popularity is envious of every actors and actress. But it’s often elusive. Like I just published about the mainstay Nollywood actors and actresses. Some that just gained popularity in a recent. I also wish to share you something related to Yoruba film industry. As little I know about it because it has literally been a year I had watched Yoruba Nollywood films.

However, I intentionally wanted to do this because I felt like to pay homage to my ethnicity. I should never disdainfully neglect it.

Meanwhile, This is not name of every Yoruba Nollywood Actors and Actresses.

So listed below are just some of your favorite Yoruba Actors and Actresses.  In no particular order. I listed just 5 out of favorite Yoruba industry. And the movie that gained them popularity.

1.Odunlade Adekola

The movie that blows him was “Emi Nire Kan (I’m next for goodness)”

Odunlade Adekola had been a household name in Yoruba movie industry since 2009 he released “Emi Nire Kan”. Then it was such a remarkable year for Odunlade. Also the industry in general and Yoruba ethnicity. I said that because of every release that followed his 2009 blockbuster movie was ubiquitous. I mean everywhere around the southwestern region of the country.

Besides, the outlandish part of this comic actor was that his versatility wasn’t in only acting. It also reached a singing terrain. It was a mind-blowing to know that he was also a singer which sang to every movies he personally wrote until now.

2009, the year he released the movie that propelled him into limelight. Also happened to be coincidentally the year he released a banger titled Enshiere (You’re crazy) to the Nigerian music industry. The music both help his career and the movie garnered attention than his expectation.

On the other side, “Sunday Dagboru”” Oyenusi” and other motivated and hilarious movies he had starred spoke about his success and popularity. Besides, there’s no doubt he’s indeed the best.  Arguably the richest Yoruba Actor in Nigeria. Also, best Yoruba Nollywood Actor. Besides, His contribution to Yoruba movies industry is incomparable.

2.Muyiwa Ademola

The movie that blows him was “Ori (Fate)”

Mr. Authentic, as the name given to him basically for this movie success. He is also the Best Yoruba Nollywood Actor that had immensely contributed to the industry.

It was such a vintage year for him in 2005 when he released the movie “Ori (Fate)” . Which met an astounding surge in sales. The blockbuster movie was an indelible one. There’s no how mundane one felt in the first place of watching it, that one wouldn’t overcome the scruple to re-watch the movie. Is a story of fate related to providence.

3.Femi Adebayo

The movie that blows him was “Jelili’- A given Yoruba name”

Femi Adebayo rose to stardom on the account of this hilarious movie. Femi has been garnering attention since he fully started his movie production. Due to the reason being the son of veteran Yoruba actor Oga Bello, an opportunity has been opening for him to gain heap of popularity in Industry. Meanwhile, he is among top 10 richest Yoruba Nollywood Actors.

4. Funke Akindele

The movie that blows her was “Jenifa’ – A stylist name from Jennifer”

Funke needs no introduction. She had already gained pervasive recognition both locally and internationally. Majorly on the account of her blockbuster and prevalent series movies, Jenifa Dairy.

There’s no way Yoruba Nollywood industry will mention the name of actresses that had immensely moved Yoruba industry that her name wouldn’t be included.

The movie that blows her was “Alakada’ – Being conceited”

A movie that tells a story of a girl who lived up to fantasy. Who showcased her unprecedented desire by flattering and deceiving people that she came from an affluent family. The movie like any others she had produced arguably propelled Toyin Abraham. On the account of recently swerving into a wider recognition in her career.

Meanwhile, 2017 was her vintage recent year as she released another installment: “Alakada Reloaded” to the mainstay Nollywood industry. It was a movie that ranked few most blockbuster Nollywood movies of 2017.
